About Us

Currently Kiefernfels and Taillis Au is a little more than the cliche - we are a 'mid sized' hobby kennel, currently consisting of about 20 dogs.
Of those, only five are active in our breeding program, two youngsters being shown, two more in the wings, and the rest - seniors and retirees.
We make our home on almost sixty acres, south of highway 7, in an easternly area of Ontario, in a stone house built in 1857.
Ron works as a printer technician and I as a baker. With two children - Nathan 16 and Sera 6, needless to say we have no spare time!

Collectively we share over thirty years of dog experience, Ron began in the 1970's with his family in German Shepherds. I dabbled around in many different breeds,
from Shelties to Greyhounds, was most active with Beagles and finally settled on the English Foxhound, mainly due to size.
Together we have shared many successes in many venues with dogs of our breeding, and plan to continue to do so in the future!
